Backordering = Requesting a catch on a certain at a catch/backorder service..
Catching = Software-driven registration of domains within a few milliseconds after they became availablle for registration again.
Droping = Most likely to become available for registration soon..
Registry = Organisation that administers domain registrations for a certain top level.
Snaping = The same as Catching.
Top Level = Highest level in the domain name system. E.g. "at", "ch", etc. |

Catch.info is a service that is providing a high quality catch service on certain european top levels - namely .at and .ch while certain others are currently being developed.
In order to efficiently use our service it´s inevitable to understand and agree to the concept of catch.info:
 Catch.info is publicating lists of potentially droping domains
on a daily basis. When being a customer you can search and filter tthese lists at your will here (being loged in is needed for filtering and searching).
Ordering domains is of course only possible when being a customer of catch.info. You are welcome to become a customer of us by registering here.
When registering it´s needed to provide 100% correct data, exspecially if you are acting as a company it´s essential that you provide your tax number at registration process, so that we are able to tag your account as company account and create correct invoices for the service we provide - when failing to do so it might afterwards not being able to correct made out invoices by us.
After registration there is automatically being set a standard bid amount of 50€ which will be used for each order you do - you can change the amount of your standard bid in your account here (being loged in is needed). This bid amount is being excl. VAT, as all amounts on Catch.info are being understood as excl. TAX (which is usually +20%).
When viewing the droplist you will see that sign:
By clicking this sign you set an order on the corresponding domain to be catched in the amount of your standard bid amount as mentioned above and automatically agree to our terms of service.
These orders may be canceled until the listing end time, which is an information provided for every domain. After the listing end time all orders are fixed and will be considered binding orders to catch the corresponding domains.
In case those ordered domains are renewed or we hadn´t been able to catch these there won´t be applied any fee.
In case we had been able to catch these domains there will be started a closed auction on that domain, where only these people. that set an order on that domain will be able to bid, which will last for 7 days. The minimum bid will be calculated by the set orders, meaning the highest set order will automatically be the minimum bid for the domain. All bids from then on will be handled as proxy bids, meaning if you set your bid at 500€ and the next highest bidder only sets 150€ you will be receiving the domain for 200€ when winning the auction (while 50€ is the minimum bid intervall at that range).
After having won an auction, our system will automatically create an invoice for the domain, which we require you to pay within 7 days. In case you don´t pay the domain within the given period of time you loose all rights on that domain and we reserve the right to do with the domain whatever we feel is suitable.
After your payment arrived (you may use our website paypal form which is instant or wire transfer which usually takes some days) your domain will automatically be transfered to our partner registrar where you you administer the domain at your will.
In case you wonder how you can access your domains at our partner registrar you may use the same username that you use for catch.info and request a new password at our parnter registrar´s password recovery form here which will result in an automated email to your email adress registered at catch.info being sent to you by our partner registrar to recover your password there. That means you are able to choose a password at our partner registrar that differs from your password at catch.info.
The first year´s registration fee is already included within the auction end price while for further renews you would need to directly contact our partner registrar, which we strongly advice since our partner registrar is providing great special offers for catch.info customers. |

There are some things we strongly advise to do:
To improve the performance on certain domains it is adviceable to raise your minimum bid at ordering the domain since that directly improves the software resources used to catch that particular domain.
Use the ordering function wisely. As mentioned above ordering domains is reversible until the listing end time, which means the best way to use the ordering function is to use it beforehand as a kinda favourites function and before the listing end time ends remove these part of domains that you finally decide to not order. That way you won´t be locked out by subsequent auctions on domains you forgot to order.
Use our filters wisely. You will find out that the droplist is an extremely powerful tool. You can e.g. declare in your account which parameters you would like to view in the droplist overview, you can filter e.g. domains on a daily drop basis and many many more possibilities.
Make sure that you are allowed to own domains of the corresponing top level before ordering that top level (some registries do have certain limitations on who is allowed to own a certain top level).
Make sure you don´t impinge on the rights of others by owning domains that you order. You automatically agree that you will hold us harmless from all liabilities, claims and expenses resulting from your orders by registering for becoming a catch.info customer.
Use the internal messaging system here for support requests, since that improves answering times.
Please pay domains you won in time, meaning within 7 days after auction end. While we usually don´t mind if your payments are a little late, we have to reserve the right, that if you don´t pay within the given time we may do with the catched domain as we see fits.
